I want to shoot iron sights. How do I attach/ install a front sight to a moderator ? i am currently using a williams rear and a zip tie and a flattened nail. Works great but not pretty.

A Discovery front site will glue onto a TKO also, they have the same radius -
You didn't mention the od of your mod - it would have to be able to be compensated for by your rear site.

I carved up a 22xx sight and just epoxied it on the moderator it lasted hundreds of rounds until the gun was stole anyway.

That might be pushing it - you'd need some sort of mark or index to align to -

I think before actually mounting a sight on the moderator, I would experiment with a index marks only.
Then R8R the moderator a few times to see if things line up properly.
Let's see what others have to say

I've glued front sights on the shroud of a P-rod and have had no trouble. Just make index mark to get the shroud back to the same point.

If you're using a moderator adapter you might be able to drill out and thread the top of it and make a threaded "pin" about the same width as your factory front sight and thread that down into the adapter. Make sure the height of the top of the new "sight" is the same height above the top of the barrel as the factory sight and you should be good I think.
That's what I did with my IZH pistol in the top of the picture below. Talk about "backyard friendly"...... the pellet hitting the paper target makes more noise than the gun.
I can switch the moderator from gun to gun so I can shoot open sights or red dot. Best of both worlds.

I did exactly as SAZ
I used one of the set screw holes on a DonnyFl adapter on my Maximus
Coupled with a Williams peep sight the combo was quick to acquire a target & deadly accurate out to 30 yards ( the limit of my area)

That looks good!
Since the time you installed sight on the moderator, have you unscrewed the moderator from the barrel?
I'm curious to know if there are any alignment issues when screwing the moderator back onto the gun

That is the set screw model - I just line it up visually, and adjust as needed - not rocket science lol
