frustration!

"Rocky_in_TX"That is nice!
IF you don't mind, share the cost and where you find your source of Nitrogen. Do you rent the bottle? Do you buy the bottle? I'm having a hard time finding a supplier in my area and thought you might have some insight you could share in your particular set up?

Thanks.
Rocky
Yes I rent the bottle $100 per year.
Cost me roughly $141 for the first fill last July. Then $166 for the last fill this March. Nitrogen prices sure did go up in 7 months?
I live in Burgaw NC and Rent my tank from Machine Welding Supply out of Wilmington. They deliver the bottle and all I do is call them and they will be here within a week at most to change the bottle out.

"snakedoctor9"I broached the subject of getting a PCP with the wife this morning and she was remarkably ok with it. Subject to change I'm sure..... She had caught me watching YouTube videos of Ted and Campfussel a few times, so when I mentioned it, she said, "you mean one of those rat shooting guns?" I might be getting in the game sooner than I thought!
Hot diggity. Wake to go SnakeDoctor!
I would love to go on a night time Rathunt, but then I'd have to spend a small fortune on a NiteSite Viper ;-)!!!!!!LOL

As an alternative, you can try my ploy...my wife is now the proud owner of her own Synrod .25...if she don't shoot it, I will. ;-)

I have had the same problems with my Benjamin trail np .22. not consistent at all. I have only tried 3 different pellets so far H&N hollow point were the best but still not good. I cant seem to find any sweet spot. Im new to air guns so that may have something to do with it. after reading the comments I will buy a new sea. see if that helps. I would love a PCP mabey the FX bobcat .25... lol my wife would kill me for spending that kind of money

I have the Benjamin Trail NP XL 1100. It came with a terrible trigger. After a trigger job to shorten and lighten the pull, about 200 rounds with 13 different types of pellet to find the right one, and now mine is a straight shooter. Maybe I just got lucky and got a good one - other than the trigger. Mine shoots Crossman premier .22, 14.3gr hollow points and domes equally well.

In order to smooth out the rough spots in my barrel, I found a video on the YouTube about fire lapping. It involved cleaning the barrel and shooting several pellets coated in valve lapping compound through it. I used 3M rubbing compound but it worked and I believe it increased the fps by a few. Added a new scope and now I pleased with the accuracy. Now I think any trouble with accuracy is in the holder....

Congratulations on the new hatsan! hope it works good for you. I don't have any way to test the fps, but I can actually see the pellet flying to the target. I never noticed it before so, yeah maybe im loosing velocity. I read on some other post about the piston bushings are notorious for going bad, they started using brass bushing instead of the plastic ones but I cant seem to find any.
