full auto pellet rifles, good or bad?

Why start a conversation when you can't take it when someone disagrees with you. Home defense is not allowed to be talked about here.

You obviously do not know how to have a productive discussion. This is what is wrong with this country. I am willing to bet you are under 35 years old. Did I cast any pejoratives in my commentary? I think not. One should look in a mirror before making rude remarks...

Sorry guys but no need to be emotional here betwixt you too. Also, toys are never a good idea as a “self defense” tool. If you come from the powder burning world, you will know just how inefficient and non lethal these toys are. Additionally, I am glad that AGN is taking the policy to not discuss air rifles as anything sufficient beyond what they fundamentally designed to be: toys. Let’s treat them as such, and remember to not get emotional because even on a hot topic like this, in the end of the day they are and will always be just toys.

I own 2 Hubens (semi auto only) and a SK-19 (semi/full auto). The full auto version I could do without but it is kinda cool 😎. I only hunt with mine. I did use the full auto from time to time crow hunting, mainly 3 shot bursts.

Since having semi auto that are hunting accurate, I have no desire to have another bolt/side lever rifle again. I like the quick follow up shots and do not have to loose line of sight cocking rifle.

It's the next best thing to a class 3 full auto machine gun that doesn't kick much at all compared to the full auto powder burners.

The sheer thrill and excitement shooting one in full auto for the first time blasting a melon is simply utterly indescribable.

Also playing Saving Private Ryan on soda pop cans at 100 yards in full auto too.

Interesting choice for AGN to have basically a zero-tolerance policy on posts concerning self defense, but at the same time promoting full-auto airguns. I'm trying to wrap my head around the potential benefits of that political strategy. Not coming up with much...

It’s liability. Even if these toys could be used, and they shouldn’t, having any bit of discussion here about their use could be used in a lawsuit, especially since this isn’t a large platform like FB.

Just because they ban it doesn’t mean it is a good idea: these toys are not what you need. If you want self defense, go get some formal firearm training and buy a 12g and become a responsible gun owner. This is not a firearm website and these are not firearms.

Well we keep saying the regulations are coming, maybe they are. But I did a quick Google search and https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/is-anyone-else-concerned/ from 2015 came up with people voicing the same concerns and I don't see any law changes from then till now. I hope we can continue to self-regulate and remain free to use the airguns available to us.

To answer the question on full auto - I don't need or desire it in an airgun. To be honest it's a ton more fun to go full auto with my airsoft GHK M4 gas blowback with tracer rounds and a tracer attached.

Air guns and firearms have all the same safe handeling rules. Toy guns have none when you call a air gun a toy it gives the impression you dont know that. I hope most can see what a bad idea that is and wont call them that. Full auto bb has been around a long time with no regulation. But on the other hand you would go to prision for putting a bumpstock on a flintlock. So who knows what the heck is coming next.

This has probably been a talked about for the last few decades back when PCPs were first starting to become more prevalent. I imagine when Jack Haley was reaching crazy power levels there were people saying that much power will only cause govt intervention.

tap on the members avatars that have replied, especially Biohazardmans. You will see post count telling you how long these folks have been around, and compare it to your 33 posts. What you should have done instead of re asking an age old topic, written in bold letters, is do your due diligence and researched your need to know. You would have gotten links to all those old a$$ topics about these same old A$$ replies and discussions, and you would have seen that this type of tread is frowned on for discussion.

You our would have gotten a whole nights worth of reading from two maybe three Airgun forums, and I can guarantee they all end like this with the 33 post person getting all pissed off because he feels he has every right to bring this up.

Well, you do have the right, but we also don’t have the right to comment and feed it. So, heed your “elders” here on this forum, rather than try and bully your way into your rights.

Elders, if I may, we really need to stop replying to posts such as this. Let the new ones do their own research.
