First off safety is most important!!!! They sell a kit to blow up 16 oz plastic water bottles. You drill 5/32 hole in cap and put this air tight rubber nipple through cap. Screw cap on and pump bottle up with bicycle pump to about 45-55 psi. You ready to go. BAAA BOOOM!!!!!!
People here make 'em themselves with valves from old bicycle tires If you attach some rope to the bottle cap, with duct tape or whatever, and secure that rope, you can re-use the caps time and time again (untill you hit 'em, that is ).

They work pretty good. I've bought several different kinds of them. I'll have to wait for cooler weather before I get back in the groove with shooting them. Post some video if ya get the chance ;-)
Here's a vid of the last three I shot. Three 2 liter bottles pressurized to 90 psi and placed inside cardboard boxes ;-) Makes a mess, but it's worth the clean up ;-)
Definitely seems like a fun idea. Not to be a downpresser, but the effort to target ratio does not seem favorable. Today we were plinking spent 12 gauge shells at 100 yards. The positive reinforcement of a boom seems awesome, but quite a bit of effort compared to just setting down hulls. That being said... I expect I'll eventually buy some.
I just got mine in the mail today and have a gaggle of Smartwater bottles just waiting to meet their ultimate fate. Fortunately for me, I have several acres out in the desert where I can pop these things without disturbing anyone.
