Just got my FWB 124 back from David Slade.
I had not shot it for a few years and learned my young grandson was coming over for Thanksgiving and wanting to shoot, so got it out only to learn the breech seal was gone. Checked a few places and David was recommended so called him and sent it in with understanding that he was 3-4 weeks backlogged. He csalled and gave me recommendations and a price and I mailed a check which promptly got lost, took it 3-4 weeks to get there, he said he had been having problems getting maiil. I was about to send another via registered mail when he said it arrived. At that point I asked him to hold shipment back to me until after the first of the year, and keep it out of transit during busy holiday season, no problem. Then got notice that he and his wife had contracted Covid and it would be another couple of weeks as they were in quarantine, no problem, me being a pharmacist totally understand that. I was about to call as I had given 14 days plus a few, then a notice popped up that Fedex had it. He gave it his mastertune, new piston and breech seals and a new mainspring which seems more powerful. With all the problems I have to say his service was fantastic, and would recommend him. Now to get it re zeroed after reinstalling my scope.
No air gun shooting with the grandson, He just turned 9 and I gave him a little single pump Daisy pellet rifle for Christmas, which he is enjoying. Over a long Thanksgiving weekend we had to make two trips to the rifle range,where he shot for his first time, several 22 rifles and handguns, and a couple of small centerfires.
