FWB FWB 124D & Standard

Here is a ARH custom stock.

I'm not sure what this is, but JM himself said it's one of his DIY stocks: what do you folks think?
Interestingly the 124 is an I believe seldom seen very late Beeman stamped with "Santa Rosa" address!

These came with a specific-to-FWB-dovetail Williams peep, but this one just has the standard Williams/Beeman peep in place.

Sometimes you find a break barrel that's been used a lot, notice the worn blue on the barrel?

Nice. Looks like my two, except left handed stock. Those guns are made for iron sights. I have Gehmann adjustable diopters in my receiver sights.
I agree. I used to hunt rats at night with this setup. Had a red light on my hat which I turned to shine down my sights. Killed hundreds over a few years at my father in laws pig farm. Hobby pellets seemed to be the best for the close range shooting I was doing. Shooting premiers I often hit black birds at 50 yards. The gun is very accurate. They are a pleasure to shoot.

Specie. That JM stock you have is what I want to duplicate . It has the 124D pistol grip flow. Thats why I'm looking for a beater 124D stock . I'll duplicate the pistol grip of the 124D then the 300S Tyro stock. exactly what Jim did on the DIY stock...i love it!

You'll see the 124 Tyro with the 2" flat just behind receiver the trigger difference of the 300S to the 124 is about 2" off,why these stocks are like that ......

It's probably been close to 50 years ago, I killed a crow in a tree over my father-in-laws garden at about 60 yards, At that time I just had a Williams receiver sight with the standard diopter installed.

I ordered one of SC stocks a few years ago, (Bastogne Walnut), for my 124. At the time, he was applying stippling to the pistol grips. I had him leave that off, and had my checkering friend check it up a bit.
I still think these rifles are overall, the best of the production spring guns of the past.

Your checkering friend does great work. Those little plain patches within the pattern are difficult, not to mention the double border lines. This bottom picture shows the parallel "corn rows" nicely, which is the benchmark of precision checkering. That's real artwork, right there. Nice gun, too, BTW.
