A local gun club has 10M fun air gun matches, benchrest and off hand, pistol and rifle. It's a great group of guys and I go when I'm not working. I recently bought a FWB 80 and have been concentrating on learning to shoot it off hand and haven't shot my rifles much. Looking at the schedule and seeing the next match was benchrest I decided to shoot it with my 80 off a bag. A couple days ago I started practicing and was pleasantly surprised how the pistol shot. I've been shooting RWS Basic pellets because they are cheap and figured they would be better than the shooter. After a few practice sessions off the bag I decided to try JSB 8.02 Match pellets and my groups really tightened up.
The match was last night and there was only six of us there. I was the only person shooting a pistol and finished tied for fourth shooting 481/500. I blew a couple shots that really hurt my score, it should've been around 490. It was fun and I learned some too so it was a good night.
