FX 8.4gr .177 pellets

I need to buy some more pellets soon for a couple rifles that like JSB Exact 8.44 or AA 8.44. Either of those are fine with me as I have found them to shoot the same. I typically by the AA version of the JSB as they are a couple $$ cheaper than the JSB 8.44gr pellets. I see FX has their JSB made pellet that is a little cheaper than the AA. FX has their pellet listed as 8.4gr instead of 8.44gr. Is it the same pellet as the JSB & AA 8.44gr pellet?

Should be the same. I have seen a few sponsored youtubers explain the the FX branded pellets are in fact the same as a JSB counterpart, but they get the first so many batches off a new set of dies. So in theory they should be better, and most people seem to find the FX shoot better. But be warned that is up to your specific barrel/rifle and you may see no difference, or worse. Personally I like the FX pellets the best now and try to buy those when I can.

I bought a couple tins of the FX 8.4 grain pellets and just started trying them out. Seem fine and shoot the same as the AA 8.4. I will be ordering at least a sleeve of JSB/AA/FX and don’t want to get stuck with pellets that don’t shoot good.

I did buy a a tin of Barracuda 8’s. They did not shoot to well out of the rifle I am buying pellets for. I wanted them to shoot well as they are cheap man’s I like H&N pellets. When time allows I will try them in other rifles. I am sure I have some rifles that will like them. They look good.
