FX FX Airguns DRS Pro: How Significant is This Really?

While other manufacturers have been using electric valves, electric hammers, semi-automatic and fully automatic for many years ago, Fx just dressed their guns in new clothes.
I used to think this was because FX just wanted to focus on reliability where a lot of semi and full autos have reliability issues. But then I bought a few fx's and realized they still have many of the same issues. We really need the glock of airguns to come out. Near invulnerable orings, works everytime, run it over with a truck and still works type airgun lol

To me FX guns are more reliable than electronic and semi auto guns. I am more into reliability and accuracy.

I am not in USA but I follow what is going on with your gun rights. As an outsider I stand far away and sometimes see clearer and wider picture than those in the picture and I can tell you it is not looking good. When did the resistance against arms got more intense? When people started to see it on you tube. The resistance against air rifles already started.
Gun content on YouTube has nothing to do with gun control. I am not defending YouTube, nor am I condemning it. It is simply not a factor.
I will be 64 in a couple months and can vividly remember when I was in high school in the 70’s there were anti’s back then. Enough of them and active enough that the NRA magazines my dad received were full of gun control articles.

I see these posts about folks concerned with new and more powerful air guns ”getting us regulated”. As the theory goes we should shut up, sit down and live with the technology we have now.
Well congratulations you have just done the anti’s work for them. You wrongly believe that if we self regulate they will leave you alone.
You have already achieved half of their work for them by defining the fact you are willing to live with some level of regulation. The problem is that what you consider acceptable regulation will not satisfy them. The only solution is to fight them as hard as we can and for that we need numbers which at this point we seriously low on in terms of political clout.

I can really stir the turds here. Logically which has the highest potential to have folks screaming for regulations, a high powered air gun clearly intended for use away from urban environments or people shooting in their backyards?
From the neighbors perspective all they see is some lunatic shooting in his yard. Do you think they have any clue as to fpe or that they even give a damn. All they see is somebody doing something they are extremely uncomfortable with and something they are far more likely to do something about than excessive fpe.
Chew on that for a while.

DO NOT get me wrong. I am not against safe backyard shooting, just pointing out that people are not being logical in their fears about advancing technology in air guns. I would bet a good many of the proponents for limited technology shoot in their backyards.

I'll be waiting for the XXL plenum 😁

My big question is this: Has FX moved away from placing new technologies into the Bullpup form factor?

I don't PRS, plink or compete. I hunt and pest. When can I expect the Dynamic in Bullpup format, so I can enjoy the higher power levels of a 600mm barreled .30/.357cal without the airgun pushing five feet long moderated?

Pretty much I want a Dynamic 600 .30/.357 in a Maverick chassis.

You mean an FX impact? I am really confused/lost as to what you really want from them?

The FX Impact misses several of the advances, such as the barrel plenum, more stable barrel and the higher power generated. If you want .357cal in an Impact, you are stuck with an 800mm barrel.

I want a Bullpup design to reduce overall length, but I want a 600mm barrel and 580cc air reservoir with all of the Dynamic's upgrades. I'll take a Dynamic with the magazine and gauges moved to the rear with a front bottle.

I love my M3 Impact but it just a bucket of parts put together.
I really like the barreled action in a stock or chassis like a firearm.
What a solid, simple way to build a air rifle !
I would like to have a little more power out of the Pro so it could shoot a .25 40gr Javelin or H&N heavy at 960+fps.
But I am still ordering as soon as they are available !

Pretty sure the dynamic sized valve would make its way to Impact and maverick would get the dynamic block sometimes this year. Looks like FX is starting to crank out the dynamic block so it's matter of time before all the other rifles get the dynamic treatment.

Maybe this is what Airtac hunting is shooting in this video

That plenum definitely looks MUCH bigger and it’s really easy for FX to make the valve bigger like the powerblock upgrade. I don’t “need” it but certainly will order the power-powerblock upgrade kit when available.

I see all these FX changes, but they are not the ones I would be interested in. FX has yet to fix the shifting POI issue that has been present in most of their guns for several years now. I'm not interested in less air volume than present in a 480CC bottle. I think power up to and beyond that of a 22LR is just asking for trouble. I think air guns need to be back yard friendly to be practical. Adding a moderator on a flimsy, long, unsupported barrel causes barrel droop and POI fragility. They need to fix that crap first.
