FX announcement of an announcement

I like Ted a lot, as he’s the reason I got into this game.

But, it was like a let down when I watched him in that video cause I for one have never grabbed the sides of my face in an OMG excited situation.

If I’m ever around you, Yenniedn, and you see me put my hands up to the sides of my face in excitement, spinning in circles, please slap me hard across the face, please!

I mean, c’mon! You ever see Clint “Rowdy Yates” Eastwood do that?
Will do, Augie. Quoting your reply here so I can have it preserved in writing after you decide to sue me!

OMG(my hands are on face like Home Alone kid) I’m laughing right now, LOL

SOLO1- thanks for posting that vid. Ted has regained my respect, as that’s the Ted I remember. I can only wish to know half of what he does one day. A true ambassador to our community.

It looks like most of the super "operators" rifles you see all over instagram in the PB world. They are marketing geniuses.
Well primers cost more than slugs these days. Mall Ninja or not FX is going to sell a metric crap ton of these. I have to wonder why the small bottle though, seems like another FX "90% there" design

Maybe for weight and maneuverability being that its marketed toward prs , maybe balance thing?

Could be, but I think there is only about a 3oz difference between the 300cc and 480cc. I think they could have trimmed down the "recoil pad" and had enough length to fit the 480cc behind your hand. And another new model at 250 Bar? Still a floppy shroud in a rifle meant to be smacked around in matches doesnt make sense to me either. I think the FX design team is brilliant making all these industry innovations but they dont think of everything. We are all human so I will cut them some slack ;)

Side note I am very tempted to pre-order one...

As mentioned in another thread as well
I wonder how affected the barrel will be in temperature shifts due to it being wrapped by the plenum.... some of us live in an environment where its 15* in the am and 55 in the afternoon.

Happy to answer your questions:
- 300cc to keep the right distance and length of pull for the stock. Remembering this is built specifically for PRS/NRL shooting where stages are at most 12 shots. The small bottle is all about ergonomics and the ability to still have things adjustable (as you can imaging a straight tank at the back would work, but not really a custom fit rig for precision shooting)
- You'll need to feel the barrel. No flop at all as the pressurized plenum wrapped around 60% of the barrel is like vice grips around the barrel. Incredibly stiff.

All things we carefully considered, and certainly people will pick them up for hunting, put on a sling, etc. But the design was made for precision shooting competitions purely. We know these can start out shooting all the big competition rig .22LRs like CZ, Vudoo, Anshutz, etc. We can get our SDs so low where .22 ammo and their primers can't touch...

You need to look at the NRL game... you don't need a ton of shots. Typically a lane is 10-14 shots. That is really all you need. Then fill up and you are good to go for the next lane.

You don't need a monster air tank to get those shots
Exactly, woogie gets it!

It's a beautiful rifle as well as capable I'm sure. I knew something was about to come out and I just purchased an Impact M3 Compact in 30 cal from Bin at The Pellet Shop on Monday. I was going to hold off to see what this new rifle was going to be but honestly, for my purpose of this new purchase, I am confident that I still made the right decision. This new purchase is specifically for a quick grab back door gun to shoot coyotes at night when they pass through my yard. They don't spend long out back and so I need something that I can grab quickly, that is light, and short barreled. I trust my 30 cal more than my 22 for coyotes but the only 30 cal that I have right now is my M3 Sniper with 700mm barrel and because of the length, it puts me a few seconds behind the opportunity to take the shot.
