Tuning Fx barrel coming apart after shroud removal. .HELP!

How do I get the below pictured section back tight? it did this as I went to take my shroud off so I could check some measurements for a carbon liner install.

I do see that this is Loctite from factory but I don't know how it managed to loosen up just from trying to remove the shroud. Oh and this gun is only a few weeks old. I cant believe how many issues this one has had. frustrating

any specific tools I should use? I don't want to scratch or damage any part. I tried to retighten the sleeve with the barrel installed in the gun. I used a grippy mat and a set of round bar vice grips that are made to grab round parts. all it did was spin around the sleeve and not tighten back down. Maybe the application of some heat would help to re-liquify the Loctite????

Maybe the Loctite has balled up and needs a little heat to soften it up. Since it's unscrewed that much already it shouldn't take much to get it going. As T3P suggested that should work fine but go ahead and remove the liner first as he suggested also. What other issues have you had and what gun is it out of? When you go back together don't over torque the shroud and make the barrel components the most likely to unscrew down the road. Just past finger tight on the shroud is good.

new impact mk2 700mm. had power wheel issues out of the box. wouldn't stay locked into position on certain settings. fx sent me all new and special grub screw to attempt a fix with every part that pertains to the power wheel. the special grub screw seemed to have done the trick. of course this is after I had severely shortened the power wheel holding screw. I need to crank on the hst to where it was when i first measured it out of the box to really be sure the fix is 100%. may do that tomorrow now that I need to address this new issue with the barrel. FX said if the part they sent don't get my power wheel holding, I'd have to send it back to them.

Yep, heat should help. You should be able to use your hands. Re-apply a bit of loc tite.
