Fx Bobcat cylinder removal

The rifle is a FX Bobcat .25 MKII. Please make sure your rifle is not loaded and hammer is forward. When the receiver is out of the stock, the trigger action is all exposed so its best to leave the hammer in the forward position in my opinion.

1. Using a 4 mm hex key, loosen set screw on bottom of forearm. When the set screw is loosened, it relieves pressure off of a rubber ball that is pressing against the air cylinder. I would recommend removing the entire set screw and rubber ball the first time you do this so you can understand how it works. Don't loose or forget about the rubber ball when reassembling!

2. I like to put the gun between my legs and use both hands to spin the cylinder off counter-clockwise. The first few complete turns are little stiff ,but after that it screws off pretty smoothly. Cylinder pressure was measured at 220 bar when I removed from the receiver.

3. Using a 3 mm hex key, loosen bolt behind the hand grip and completely remove. Receiver is now free so you can now lift it strait up.

*When installing the set screw that presses on the air cylinder, do not over tighten! I use a flashlight to peek how much the set screw is pressing on the rubber ball and just use my best judgement. Also, the bolt that holds the receiver to the stock shouldn't be over tightened. The stock is fairly soft so use your best judgment when re-installing bolt as well.
