Hi All,

Not sure where to put this post so figured I would try here for starters!

Got my FX Boss delivered and the new Huma reg installed and shot a few mags through it last night and talk about impressive. Down side is I am only getting around 30 shots per fill (160 on the Huma reg) and I know it can be tuned better unfortunately not only am I not a tuner but with my work schedule the gun would spend more time in pieces on the bench than it would being sorted out.

All that being said would love to have someone who knows what they are doing go through this one front to back and get the shot count etc. where it should be and just give her a once over etc. Possibly would be open to removing the shroud so a 700cc bottle could be added (not sure how that would affect accuracy etc.).

Only changes I made were replaced the bottle with a 480cc carbon fiber one and installed the Huma reg.

Anyways anyone up to taking this in let me know and can talk cost etc.

If this needs to be posted elsewhere please do let me know.

After installing the Huma reg in my Boss (set at 160 also) I increased the hammer spring tension until I was getting around 885-890fps on my chrony. I'm getting 5 or 6 mags (45-54 shots) which STILL blows me away. HS adjustment is easy to access and adjust. Watch Ernest Rowe videos on the Royale & Boss. That's what I followed & how I learned. The only other thing I did was install a brass lock screw behind the HS adjustment screw to keep it in place. It's just like the factory Hammer Spring adjustment screw except made from brass. Can't remember where I got it.

Appreciate it! Your post is actually the one I read when doing my Huma install!

I have mine shooting in that ballpark (875-885) and hammer spring is just a tad in from flush.

Getting about 3 mags from 250-160 and I know it can do better. Honestly thinking this one maybe the one I use for 100 yard bench rest next year. Still have quite a few guns to put through their paces but I am very impressed with what I have seen accuracy wise so far.

I just remembered, I ordered the HP (high pressure) reg & had Huma set it for 160bar. It MIGHT make a difference being HP. They LOOK exactly the same. I'm sure you know (or maybe not) the huma regs go in opposite of the OEM reg, or "backwards" one might say. Did you know that? Took me doing it wrong twice.

I did the same thing. Yes, I got the orientation correct, butt end pointing towards the stock and adjustment end point towards the bottle.

Meant to tell you, before the Huma my Boss wouldn't shoot Hades or 50gr pellets well at all. Now everything (44.75gr, 50.12gr, Hades) shoots incredibly accurate!

Being in Washington Utah air is probably your best bet. However I would like to say if you want to stay in the same power category you are now I think the reg pressure will have to stay up where it is. That really only leaves tweaking the hammer spring tension which is super easy tuning if you have a chrono.
