i have a question about the threads in the bottle valve.
I've taken this bottle off 3 times and the 4th was a day ago when i swapped to the 700mm barrel.
i don't put any kind of lube on the threads although I've been tempted to put maybe high-pressure moly grease
or maybe some copper never seize? i usually just wipe the threads clean with a microfiber cloth and use a q tip to clean the bottle valve threads.
I'm thinking i will have to replace both the nipple on the gun and that valve in the bottle as going back on the 4th time it felt like it started to bind a little. also. like to take the tank off with 150 bar or less just makes sense to me that it takes stress off the threads if I'm thinking correctly.
should there be some lube on the threads? anyone else run into this?
all i can picture is unscrewing the tank and the threads stripping out. seems like the bottle valve threads are wearing more so than the nipple on the gun
is there a lube to prevent this from happening again or maybe one of those stainless bottle valves utah sells air Marksman?

Nope, it's usually the other way around where the nipple thread wear out. I've done that a few times, the metal used is a lot softer than the bottle threads. Maybe the now went with a much harder steel and it's wearing the threads on the bottle? Regardless, you do it too many times while the bottle is pressurized and one or the other will need to be replaced.

I dont drain the tank all the way down but usually 150
Bar or less before I unscrew it.

I've had my own bottles on and off more times than I can count over the last two years of FX ownership. Also with customer guns. I've yet to see any damage or excess wear that would lead me to believe a replacement will be needed any time soon.

Threads on the bottle? Or on the nipple? I wall say that this was mostly an issue with the impact mk2, I didn't notice this with the mk3

I put a light coat of either Krytox or more likely Molykote 33 on the threads to keep them from wearing too much. Molykote 33 has addatives for metal to metal contact, so it should be a good match. If you don't mind the cost, which really is minimal based on how much you use, Krytox has PTFE in it and would work great.

I had similar issue with my Maverick but it wasn’t the bottle it was the male nipple part which seemed to be aluminum. Didn’t last long (maybe 6 removals!, which really hurt tuning)and was replaced during warranty work.
Not sure I thought the nipple on the gun looked stainless not sure
What the metal is the valve is made of
I had ordered both a new nipple from Utah and the valve from. Krale
As their the only ones who had the newer style bottle valve
I'm going to wait for the new parts to come before removing again.
Just in case.

I used powdered molybdenum disulfide lubricant on the nipple threads and it seems to be working.
