...and just like that, they changed back to the STX Slug Liner 1:16.

I bought a Superior Heavy .22 700m 1:16 from Utah Air in Sept and it was exactly what I paid for.

I ordered a Superior Heavy .25 700mm from The Pellet Shop a Nov. 22th and arrived Saturday. Hoping I would get the Heavy 1:18, nope got the STX Slug Liner 1:16. I contacted TPS today and they stated FX changed from the Heavy 1:18 to the Slug 1:16. Not sure if this is only in the .25 700mm or if it would apply to other calibers and length. If you order anywhere for a FX Liner, make sure you contact them and ask them for the one you are looking for, no surprises.

Was hoping to get the .25 Superior Heavy 1:18 to shoot pellets as well as slugs. I wish they would have sent a notice that they changed Liners. Can't send back, non-returnable. :(

Interesting, the list I have for 25 cal liners doesn't even show 1:16 for that caliber. Although my list is from back in 2022, it only shows 1:24 and 1:18 in 25 cal. I'm suprised TPS will not take a return if the liner has not been used or installed. I would call TPS again and plead my case as politely as possible to a manager, I don't see any reason they could have for refusing a return on an un-used liner. Good luck.

We emailed back and forth and they learned the change the same time as I and only for the .25 caliber, as far as they know. They had no idea either until I wrote them Monday. They never offered or did I ask for an exchange/return. I could call and ask, not sure it's worth the effort, hopefully just make this a "heads up" for the next guy.

I guess I'm confused, the last sentence from your original post... "Can't send back, non-returnable."

It's actually written in the description for the liners.

If they don't have an official announcement of the twist rate I would imagine what's going on is they have a variety of twist rates and you just "get what you get". Perhaps they have made a change, or perhaps they're just getting rid of old stock.

True. "Get what you get" is exactly what took place :p

I did contact SPAW today and asked for the .25 700mm Superior Heavy Liner 1:18, which they verified they have and about a week I'll see when it arrives. Crossing fingers.

So for anyone looking for a new FX Liner, I would contact the seller first and verify what they are sending, regardless of what they have stated online. Maybe it's just the .25 caliber change back to 1:16 I'm not 100% sure, but do ask, save ya some trouble.

Update:

Found a .25 700mm Superior Heavy Liner 1:18 from SPAW. Then a .30 barrel 1:18 barrel kit on ebay just recently. Finally have my Impact MK2 gen3 all settled and shooting excellent. 🤙

.22 700mm Superior Heavy 1:16 liner. Shoots all pellets very well and best slug so far is the Javelin 26gr at 1011fps sub moa at 100.

.25 700mm Superior Heavy Liner 1:18 liner. Shoots all pellets very well and best slug - NSA .250 36.2gr at 985fps sub moa at 100.

.30 700mm Superior Liner 1:22. Shoots all pellets very well and best slug/hybird is the FX Hybrid 44.5gr at 975fps (not tested 100).

It was all I was hoping for, besides owning 3 different Impacts. I don't mind the single rifle and changing over to different calibers. Odd thing too, all 3 are shooting at the same Reg/Hammer/Valve Settings. Just swap a barrel and probe. If you are into measurements:

Hammer Adjuster = .601"
Valve Adjuster = .512"
Bar = 142

Stock Power Plenum, Huma Reg. #S3 Hammer Spring. OEM Valve adjuster spring. I changed the stock 1-5 A-E power wheel for the M3 1-16 power wheel. The stock hammer spring I changed to the #S3 spring found at BK Weaker Hammer Spring

They offer 4 different hammer springs, I opted for the S3, which gives me the same overall power at 16 and yet able to drop down 180-200 fps down to a lower setting when needed, that allows me to shoot slugs at #16 1011fps and pellets at #10 880fps.

I can confirm the best slug for FX Superior .30 liner is FX Hybrid. As of the Superior Heavy .30 - JSB KO .30 delivers insane accuracy. This is what I got at 50 meters, 5 shots in each group:

However, the liner fouls pretty fast and I need to work on the lube now.

As of the standard Superior .30 liner with FX Hybrids:

The liners are tuned by me - straightened, polished and recrowned.

Now we are talking, that is awesome 😲

I read here a few days ago RMR that makes bullets also makes airgun slugs. After writing Joe at RMR he confirmed they do produce the FX Hybrid .30 44.5. Just got my 500 and should be testing them soon. So far they have been very accurate in my Impact MK2 .30. They didn't come in the separate trays, just in a plastic bag and boxed. They arrived ok, really didn't see any damage.

RMR .30 Slugs
$70 @ 500
$200 1500
$590 4500

I've been saying for MONTHS that RMR makes the FX slugs, now that that is out of the way, plan on cleaning them, they are filthy and you'l have to clean the holes a bit from the left over bits, do that and lube them a little and they work great.

Yep, little bit of lead shards in the hollow point...hmmm.. :(
These look good, just as shiny as the FX Hybrids in the flat packs. I haven't shot any yet, see if they are good to go as is, if not, then I'll fix the hollow.

Oh you'll really want to dump them into an ultrasonic bath and a nice massage in a microfiber towel, I use alcohol in the cleaner, not 100% necessary to take out the little bits BUT, they spin and the centrifugal force MAY cause some errors.
