FX Chronograph Bluetooth to phone pairing time is slow and inconsistent

My FX Chronograph is paired with an Android phone and uses the latest version of the software. It seems to take longer to connect to my phone than any other Bluetooth device I own. Sometimes it takes 3 minutes or more to connect. I also find it annoying that if you switch screens like saving your shot string or using the App buttons to change a setting such as pellet type, sensitivity, etc. and go back to the main screen you are disconnected from the FX chrony and have to wait again for it to reconnect. That wouldn't bother me if it didn't take so long to pair to the phone. Sometimes it takes 15 seconds, other times it takes minutes. Anyone else experience this issue? I've place the phone further away from the FX as suggested previously. I have fresh AAA batteries in the FX. I have the latest software. Any other suggestions to remedy the slow pairing issue?

I'm sorry Humbinger, but I personally have none of those issues. Have had mine for about a year and it connects about as fast as I push the button to connect ... as far as changing screens and the various settings, it performs very fast ... about as fast as opening a new window on my computer. Usually when something like this happens there is a problem with the software and many times it gets worse. The only problem I have had is dead or weak batteries. Good Luck, but I would send it back to the vendor.

I too experience this problem after buying a new phone. The FX to phone connection seemed much faster with my Google Pixel than to my current Samsung S10e. I am currently blaming the new phone. At first I thought that the phone might be preferring other Bluetooth connections available and trying to connect to those instead of the FX chrony. However, the problem also occurs out at the shooting range with no other bluetooth connections available. I wonder if a new update will help fix the issue in the future.

If you still have issues messing with it then I suggest you test it with another phone, possibly iPhone and see what your results are. I use it on my iPhone and it connect instantly. No wait time. I was actually surprised to how it connected so fast. Either the unit is not very compatible with Android OS’s or your unit is defected and needs a warranty replacement.
