FX fx crown .22 500mm normal reg pressure

Got a crown mk2 in .22 and it's tuned to shoot 18.13gn jsb at 890fps the tune platue at 905-907, it shoots really great but i had to raise the regulator pressure to 150bar is this normal for a crown?or do i have a faulty gauge? I have it on medium on the transferport and pellet side on the barrel however if i turn it to slug side and move transferport to high i can lower the regulator to 130b

My 500mm Crown MK2 shoots the 18gr JSBs at 834 with the PW at 20 and about 110 bar. Medium transfer port and pellet side of the barrel. I would suspect your gauge is faulty, or mine is.

My friend has an MKi and MKi Crowns have small plenums so a high reg pressure is usually used. I think his reg is set at 160bar. Still a very quiet shooter....

My Crown Mk II with a 500mm .22 barrel shoots the 18.1 gr pellets great! My settings for an Ave MV of 868 fps with 2.3 SD and 8 ES are:
- Reg pressure to 117 bar
- Internal Hammer Spring (IHS) adjuster sticking out of the carrier by 4 mm
- Transfer Port Wheel to Medium
- Power Wheel to 15

I should note that I have the FX Crown Slug Power Kit - but only use the new spring carrier so that I could put the 13.2 g hammer weight (Part #17003) in. I still use the pellet probe but am using the barrel with the slug (bigger port) port down.
