My .25 Crown is hole on hole at 50 yds no wind. I bring it out to 75 yds and it opens up to 3/4” in a 16 shot group. Is this average for the Crown. I’m using JSB 25.39gr. I’m figuring at 100 yds it would open up to 1.5”.
There's a big difference between 50 and 75 yards and 3/4" at 75 is pretty darn good... especially 16 shots. Might want to try the 33.95 JSB's for longer distances, couldn't hurt to try!

Mine wont shoot the 25 grains consistently accurate @ 100 unless it's dead calm. 3/4" at 75? like Stoti said is darn good

Mine shoots the 25's out to 75 fairly well. But I have to bump the fps up just a bit. I shoot on 4 for 25, 5 for 50 and MAX for 75. Seems to work out just right.

Keep in mind that you can get a somewhat skewed view of accuracy if you just look at the groups posted on the forum here. People tend to post groups that they're really proud of, an average group isn't much special. If you do the wind-drift math, for example, you'll see that just a breath of air at 75 yards will move you an inch. Not to mention, in 16 shots on unsorted pellets, you're lucky not to get a single flier. Food for thought.

Anyone who regularly shoots at these distances knows how truly hard this is to do, especially with a “16” shot group and no fliers.

The FX Crown is capable of some awesome long range out to 200 yards . I think 3/4 group is really good for 75 yds . Great shooting.

You would do well to pay attention to Shooter 1721. One of the few who can outshoot most of these guns. I am almost always the limiting factor in target shooting. I also had the good fortune to meet him at the Shot Show last month. Great guy!

Today was a good day of shooting. When these kind of groups are shot, I tend to say my gun is capable of these groups, not me. As most know, we tend to blame flyers on unsorted pellets and or sporadic gusts of wind, not our poor trigger control. Today, there were no excuses and the gun shot amazing, and I held on target. Does anyone else test 100 yards indoors to establish a "true" level of accuracy (excluding the nut behind the butt of course).

I believe we check accuracy to get a baseline as to what a gun is capable of achieving. After we establish that baseline, it is then the shooters responsibility to adjust to the environmental factors to product an accurate shot. Why not test indoors to get your baseline. I would not routinely shoot indoors, because you would never be able to learn to shoot in real world situations. Funny thing, I’ve seen many on YouTube shoot groups with this gun that are, in my opinion, unfair to the gun. You cannot have poor trigger control, gusty winds and Crosman pellets in the mix if you want to know the true capabilities of the Crown. My intention was to show what I could achieve with ZERO wind, good concentration and spot on trigger control. I’m sure the gun is capable of better though. We
