Tuning FX Crown/Impact Power Wheel question

In preparation for some shooting later, I was watching a bunch of videos and reading threads on FX tuning, and I noticed something consistent across the videos...

Why is it that I don’t see many people mentioning the half step setting on either side of MAX and MIN? The videos show people going straight from MAX to 5, for example. Is that half step setting not supposed to be used? It feels like a significant indent/setting, so it feels like an extra setting. Not sure why it is there without being labeled, but I guess I should assume the speed will fall between MAX and 5, or whichever side I’m on?

May be a dumb question, but I thought I would ask for those of you with lots of Impact/Crown experience. I think I remember Steve mentioning it in a video once, so I’ll go back and see if I can find that too.

Yup those half steps are there alright I said something about it in a post a few days back. I don't know what to say although I know some/many are not even aware that the letters are steps in between the numbers. That half step can be pretty useful when tuning every now and then.

I assumed so, so thanks for confirming. I also saw where the letters are half steps between the numbers too. I will test that out some as well.

My 30 Impact was set on max and didn’t really have any other ammo to test, so I never touched the wheel, even for testing.

Now, with a 22 and many more ammo options, I know I’ll be more curious about the different settings.

I was able to do a couple hours of testing today, and can verify the half step (on either side of MAX and MIN) is a valid step. I find it odd that I don’t see that setup used in videos. My current setup is actually loving that half step, I’m calling A.5.

I have read in many places that the letters are supposed to be half way between the corresponding number, but on mine they are basically the same as the numbers.
