FX Crown in da house!

Hopefully future Crowns with come with the twist rate clearly written somewhere. But for those of you that absolutely must know...
The liner itself should have a sticker on it describing the twist rate. Hopefully the sticker is right there at the muzzle end. If not, I do not recommend removing the liner until an official user manual comes out. For the time being, just the shoot this beauty as it was properly tuned from the factory/distributor.
Remove the shroud
Remove the baffle/air diverter thing a ma jiggy
Remove the screw that holds the liner in place
When you put her back together do not over tighten the screw, 1/4 turn or less after finger tight.
Again, unless absolutely necessary I do not recommend taking anything apart until we receive an official user manual.

Oh sorry about that. I misread the details of your question. This is a Crown thread , so I assumed it was about the SmoothTwist X.
If I recall correctly the original Smooth Twist .25 is about 1:50

Michael, why the variation in barrel twist rates? It seems to me that they would want to have all one twist rate on the first shipment so that reviews about accuracy could be consistent. With two twist rates it seems a little wonky....

Found a little bit of time to setup my Crown.
First I pulled thru a few patches, only took about 5 to come out clean. I assume that the smooth twist X will foul up a bit quicker than the notoriously low maintenance original smooth twist
Then I found optical zero with my favorite scope (Vortex Viper PST II, EBR2C reticle, Mil/Mil)
Here are the two reticles overlapping
I used a Wheeler leveling kit
And chose FX No Limits rings
I also took a few pics (with my smartphone) of the crown & a some twists inside the barrel
Now I need some range time!

Could the 2 twist rates be the best they found for different pellets. Maybe one for normal Kings and one for King Heavies. Michael you mentioned AoA found the Kings shot best in there tests but Ted has found the King Heavy MK11 are shooting best.
You would think there has to be a reason and the whole point of the different twist rates is to match up to optimis a pellets performance.
There are not radically different though.
It will be interesting when we get enough testing by different people to see what's working with which pellets.

Where is everyone hearing about two different twist rates? I have read everything and I have not seen this as being official. Is this something assumed or is this something that everyone has verified in their new crowns? Thanks...

Here's a quick tip for you Crown owners...
Make a little mark on the shroud where it locks into place. That way you aren't needlessly spinning it to get it locked into place. It will also ensure that the shroud is extended into the same position every time.
