In all honesty, I don't understand what you get from countersinking the top of the hammer.
The second video is clearer, it has created a Teflon spring guide, but I doubt the benefits it can bring to the Crown, apart from, perhaps, a minimum of vibrations.

I think what you get from reshaping the hammer is a smoother cocking action, it may not help much with high power guns as they have a much heavier spring than the sub 12 gun in the vids.
The ptfe guides in the vids do a number of things they make the action quieter, smoother and more consistent.
If you have ever taken a Crown apart after 10.000 shots you will see what looks like a grey past residue in the block, this is coursed by the spring chafing on the H/S shuttle this can migrate to the valve, which is not good the ptfe guide eliminates this
The benefit you get on a sub 12 from doing these mods is very noticeable, and makes a god gun a bit nicer to shoot as said on high power guns the benefit might not be so noticeable with the stronger spring and higher reg pressure

As the owner of the block used in the videos I can assure you that it is now as smooth as silk, as with anything in life the last 10% gain in performance is the hardest to achieve, but IMO absolutely worth it if you love your FX Crowns!
