FX Crown MK2 ?

My opinion only, but I have a sneaking suspicion the crown platform will fade away. It’s the only gun, in the starting line up for FX, that doesn’t boast big plenum space, so I have a feeling it’s gonna get replaced by something going with the big plenum trend. Just my gut feeling, nothing more.
The dynamic block changes everything, and they innovate at a blistering pace so very possible. I want the Impact with the dynamic block, have held off on an M3 anticipating a change. I have the Crown in GRS, Saber Tactical, and synthetic, they are all fun in their own way. Exciting times!

Hi Folks
This is my first post.
I am looking at buying a very good condition FX Crown Mk2. .22 The advert says Mk2 but I am a bit suspicious.
The engraving on the body does not say MK2. I believe it may be a "compact" version.
It has the black gauges and the later barrel removal screws on the side as opposed to the top and the picatinny rails.
I read somewhere online that there may have been an in between Mk1 and Mk2 model, Gen 2 that has some of the Mk2 mods but not all.
Some had the larger plenum and some did not. It would be nice to know before parting with the cash.
I would rather buy a new Mk2 than an older model if that makes sense.
Can any of the FX gurus throw any light on this? Is it possible to check using the serial number?
Good morning minoe:
I can't find much info on this subject, but check this reveiw. It is mixed up with Gen1 and Gen2's, and don't think there were any mention of the Mark 2.

Thanks Folks for all your input. Much appreciated.
I have decided to go ahead with the minty Gen 2 I was looking at
and have submitted the paperwork to the firearms cop here. (We are full firearm licence in Ireland.)
I see I can get a Mk2 upgrade block for around €200 if I really want the larger plenum down the road.
I would then have a minty Mk2 for way less than the price of a new one.
If a Mk3 came along, I would have a very tradable gun to upgrade. I will be sticking with FX.

Congratulations minoe: 👍
Here's a Gen 2 shooting a one inch target a 220 yards, in .30 cal.

Hello minoe:
I don't think folks with the Gen 2 need a mark2 upgrade. I can't find anywhere that the Gen2 has the smaller plenum? I'm also looking at Mk2's and finding the perfomance numbers don't surpass the Gen2 numbers?

Hey .20, Thanks for sharing your video. I will have to get some of those yellow chickens for practice 😂😂😂
The Gen 2 could possibly have the larger plenum but will be fine in whatever configuration for plinking.
