FX Crown power plenum?

As far as I'm concerned, the Crown has plenty of power, for me. If you want obscene power, or a really high shot count, a plenum would help. But as far as I'm aware, FX has no intention to make one for the Crown. If you look at the gun's layout, it's easy to see why. No great or easy way to impliment.

Mine does 65fpe in 22 caliber at 155bar. Actually too much power for most 22 slugs I use (only the 36gr ones like that much power). And usually I don't even use slugs. So, I run a 131bar tune.

I asked this question too on a call with FX one day ordering parts for my old Royale 400. I was told NO on a power plenum... I have one of the first Crowns that came out and it's simply not as powerful as the Continuum model" with that said I have to agree with the comment (The Crown Has Plenty Of Power) I've tried many Pellets in mine and the best thing I've found is the FX Hybrid Slugs! I'm not a tuner and don't like to tinker to much with my rifle" my Crown came set at 130bar and I've left it alone and experimented with everything out there. At 130bar my rifle shoots the Hybrids at 886 FPS ave & it's great""" accurate and fairly quiet! I put the Slug Liner in and had been having good success with the JSB 18.1 and the JSB RD 25grns. (The JSB RDs needed more REG Pressure but I didn't change) I got my best results with the Hybrids when I changed back to the 600mm Pellet Liner" ya don't have to have these Hybrids screaming at 930+ to be effective! Lately I've been shooting them in windy conditions and have good results so far" the things they are saying about slugs is true- bucks the wind better" less Hold Over, and Knock Down Power is better!

Thanks for the info guys I am really kind of interested in going 30 cal and I want to achieve the full potential in 30. Is the Continuum actually more powerful than a standard crown or is it only the longer Barrel that gives it higher velocity? If that is the case I may end up going with an impact that's not a hardship that I think I would feel too bad about

My Crown came out before the newer AMP Regulator that's on most all FX models now and their were a few differences added to the Continuum that weren't available for the older Crown. The Barrel (the way its anchored) is better supported and can be 700mm long, amp regulator seems to have a better out put (tho the HUMA many have switch too) and maybe the internals are different. My Crown I'm told can't fit the newer Reg or support the 700mm barrel. My Crown the liners tend to need cleaning quite a bit (maybe they all do?) still it shoots well when it's on! Good luck on your journey with the 30cal, for me once you go 30cal and up it's not pellet gun fun anymore!

Reply is a bit late but my MK2 crown has the AMP reg, a power plenum and a larger 6.5 mm valve, shoots upto 54 ft/lbs in .22 presently set at 31 ft/lbs for amazing accuracy, JSB 18.13 at 880 fps they hit very hard, trying the FX slugs next.

Crown's don't have a power plenum so to speak they have a slightly larger one in the late mk1's and the Mk2's but there is no additional power plenum before people start getting excited.

The Crown is ok for power, but if you want real high power then you'll need to look elsewhere, the beauty of a crown is how it shoots not how powerful it shoots :)
