Fx crown setup

You don’t need that much weight, I’d recommend the lightest, like 7 or so grams. I only have a Huma tuning spring, and hammer spring turned up, and can still open the valve at 160 bar.
I concur with Scotty1. The hammer in the Crown is the same as the hammer in the Maverick and has a mass of 16.4g. The tungsten hammer weight has a mass of 25.9g and an 8mm head. That 8 mm is like turning your micro adjuster 16 revolutions. You would have to adjust the micro adjuster way back just to be able to cock the rifle. A better option is the 7g weight (part #20271) or the 11 g weight (part #19215). The 11 g hammer weight has a head that is only 0.9 mm thick so there isn't a big change required in the micro adjuster. The kit from Utah Airguns contains the 13g weight (part # 17003) which has a 7.8 mm head on it. For my Maverick I took a disc sander to this and ground the head down to 5mm with the final weight coming in at 11.4 g. This worked well for heavy .22 slugs. I later bought the brass hammer weight kit from Huma and now use the lighter of the two weights in that kit (13.16g with a 4mm head) exclusively for shooting slugs. I have a tungsten hammer, but found I didn't need it.

You can order parts directly from FX Airguns (in the US we use FX USA). Download the schematic for the Crown from the FX Airguns website and check Huma and Krale for parts in Europe.

Cheers,
Greg

Well, now i adjusted and tried and failed and reset alot.
What I have Come up with that get me most fps is 135bar, high port and the internal hammer adjuster on max length. In that is most certanly wrong if I understand the guy in the vid right, but it gives me 880isj with KO 13.4gr and 750 with zan 20gr slug, 820 with JSB beast.
Its probably some way to make it better but I cant find it right now and my scuba tank i soon empty :/

Zan 20gr:
Paper target =50m
Orange Steel = 135m
135m is shot with holdovers at 10x, if I zoom in i dont have any holdovers left to use.

Zan 20s (or even 16s) will never shoot well out of a pellet liner (not enough twist to stabilize). Plus the crown doesnt have enough plenum. It takes a lot of energy to move a heavy projectile with such a small base area. Akin to trying to push a 36g in 22.

I get what you say, but im pretty happy with my shots, its probably possible to get better groupings with other pellets but its good enough for me at the time, im going to change to .25 soon anyway and then that Will be May main anyway :)

I just shot this group with the 20grr zans at 34-35yds 6 shots with a flier. Not long distance whatsoever but that's a much better grouping than I would've ever thought.
