Tuning FX Dream-Tact Compact 22 Tuning for shot count

I have a dreamline compact 22. US Spec (30 FP). I am trying to tune it for maximum shots for just some fun basement target shooting. I was wondering how low I can set the regulator without issues or if I even should. As far as I can tell, FX doesn't list the range that the regulator can be set to, they just say to stay under 165. It came set at around 155 bar which is weird because I have another dreamline (tube version) that came set at 100 bar which shoots great. I've watched a lot of the tuning video on the forum here but most are for tuning for maximum performance. I've dialed down the power wheel to low and the hammer to min which seems to help. I'm shooting H&N Baracuda green pellets so they are fairly light. Thanks.

What speed are you targeting? The regulator can go down 80 but with short barrel it’s not the most efficient tune. Most efficient tunes are actually higher regulator pressure. With just target shooting I would target 500 or even 450fps.

Easiest way to get there is to take off the power wheel, back out the fine adjustment screw until when the HS wheel is on minimum it barely or just doesn’t touch the wheel. Because back out anymore there won’t be any difference and you lose adjustability. Then leave HS on min and use reg erasure to find the speed that’s about 100 FPS higher than the desire speed with TP on medium. Then you should be able to turn the TP to minim and get your targeted low speed. You should get 4 mags maybe more if you go down to 450 or 500 FPS. You can raise the reg pressure even more to get your targeted low speed with TP on Medium but the HS and reg is so out of balance the shots won’t be as consistent.
