FX Dreamline Classic ...what a dream!!

Just got my FX Dreamline Classic walnut this morning from Krale , in .22 cal. Very lightweight gun , I'm used to shoot Kalibrgun or Ataman , which are built like tanks. Shorter and not so cumbersome than the Crown in same caliber.

Cleaned the barrel ( bit dirty ) , put a Hawke nite-eye 6X24 which was gathering dust for some time , fill some air, pellets and put a silencer , and started shooting ( could'nt wait longer). A few pellets to zero the scope , and here's the result : 5 shots with the gun out (nearly) of the box and pellets out of the tin.

Little breeze , power wheel on medium , target at 50 yards. Couln'd be more happy 😄 . I got a barrel band but now I wonder if it's necessary...maybe later.

I'll keep going to test power changes , pellets , ranges, speed ...in the next days , and try some slugs with the slug liner A to compare to pellets , but I don't think I could do better than this

My wife has a DreamLine Classic as one of her guns. She grew up with a grandfather who hunted, and she appreciates a traditional, wood-stocked rifle over anything else.

While her Classic in its OEM format was shooting great for her, it is a modular FX so we (I) just couldn't leave it alone. I added a Power Plenum and swapped the 500mm OEM barrel for a 600mm barrel off a DreamLine Lite. Was able to turn the reg down to just over 100 bar, and she is shooting JSB 15.89's at 940-950 fps (med & high power) and JSB 18.13's at 895-920 fps (med & high power). I don't usually try to shoot them at such high speeds but the gun seems most accurate now with the 15.89's on med power. More shots per fill now too, with the PP, the reg lower and shooting at a lower power level.

To answer one of your questions, we saw absolutely no need to install a barrel band on the gun in its OEM configuration with 500 mm barrel. But when I installed the 600 mm barrel there was some droop, and this was easily addressed with the barrel band. Resulted in a POI approximately 1" higher at 25 yards after installation.

You've picked up a great gun, which should bring you lots of enjoyment.

Here is my wife's in its current configuration:
