FX Dreamline Cocking lever Magnet

the magnet that holds the cocking lever in the closed position came out out the “pocket”. / recess hole on my FX Dreamline. I was able to push it back in but not sure it will stay.

First question: which direction does it go? The flat face out or dimple side out?

second question: what does FX recommend / use to hold the magnet in the machined pocket? Adhesive or prick punch the top of the pocket?

Thanks guys!! Really appreciate it!!

I looked at the rifle and I did position the magnet so the flat side is out. I cycled the action a few time this morning and it came out again. I just remembered FX has a three year warranty and the rifle is less than three years old and it should be under warranty. I may call FX and see what they say. Maybe I can just mail the cocking level to FX or they may say repair it ther way you guys suggested.

Appreciate the reply’s it again!

I emailed FX about the magnet coming out. They reposed with the below. The rifle is less than 3 years old. What do you guys think about this reply? I know what I think... your thoughts?

I would think the lever could be removed with a few hex wrenches and sent to FX for proper repair. No need to ship entire rifle. I have other rifles I can shoot mean while.

There is no evidence of any epoxy or adhesive on the magnet or in counter bore. I don’t think it was applied during assembly.

In my mind, FX service just brushed this one off and said go away. At minimum they could have suggested a type or specific brand of epoxy. Or offered to ship me a small amount so I can do the repair. Hate to slam them after having good service in the past, but, don’t feel good about this one.
