FX Dreamline Compact Tactical .22

Excellent! My barrel is 480mm in .25

I heard back from FX USA this morning, the data on Utah Airguns website is correct. FX USA said they don't make a 320mm barrel and after checking several of their vendor's websites, it appears PA was the only one that had the incorrect info. They said they would be contacting them to have them correct the info on their site. In the meantime, I cancelled the order I had placed for the 320mm barrel! I already have a 380mm barrel from my Continuum I can use for the Compact conversion...

omark04,

Just wanted to say thanks for the info in the Ebay .3L bottle.

I was on the fence about the .22L bottle and when I saw your pics I decided to go with the .3 bottle and the FX valve from Ohio A.

I think if it was 1mm longer it wouldn't fit. For reference I am measuring from the bottle adapter face to the beginning of the moderator and it is 9 3/4" so 247mm, and that is right where the bottle starts to taper. Whew close. So like the Ebay pics show 260mm for the bottle plus 10mm for the FX valve and that's 270mm but that is to the tip. Thanks again.

300cc with and without valve, you said your would call..... what was the outcome? Would like to know as I believe the valve as it is shown on the website should not add 25 mm......more something like 5mm.

I see you ordered the bottle, could you share a picture of the valve on it please?

Maybe going for the bottle without the valve and looking for a valve separately is a solution?

@0mark04

I wonder if the 300 cc bottle with valve is the same as the one you have on your gun...

https://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shop/fill-probes-adaptors/buddy-bottles-valves/220cc-300cc-500cc-300bar-carbon-fibre-buddy-bottles-with-best-fittings-fx-valve/

It’s described as being 280mm with valve which would be too long to fit the gun (.22 cal). However, the tank without valve shows it’s 255mm long.

does that look correct? Would the valve add 25 mm to the overall length??

I’m going email them to make sure before I order. I bought stuff from them and they are great.

I just don’t want to end up with a bottle that is too long and I will not be able to attach an ldc.

Sorry, new to this forum...... wanted to reply to the post above

I didn’t call to find out after all. I just ordered it.

If you look at the best fittings website, the image of the bottle w/ valve is not what I got. The valve on mine looks to be twice as thick. I’m referring to the visible part of the valve, the ring at the end of the bottle.

As a result, I was not able to use the tatsu mod. The bottle stuck out just a little bit too much. I had to get a tanto. Not a big deal to me. The tanto is just as effective plus I think it looks better.

Here’s are some pics I previously posted

😗 Now...that is interesting. FLgunner just confirmed (one post above yours) that he's using "the Best Fittings 300cc tank with their valve and a Tatsu LDC" on his ".22 with the short 320mm barrel". I also double checked the picture he posted earlier and found both the bottle & valve on his gun look just like yours.

I’ll take a couple close up pictures of the valve and the clearance between the tank and the Tatsu when I get back home. The LDC doesn’t touch the tank.

Thank you in advance, FLgunner. A few pictures of the valve and the space between the tank and LDC will be helpful.

@dats

wow, I didn’t read Fl’s post closely

mine is probably 305 cc’s or so 😐

if I were to screw the tatsu all the way, it would gouge the f out of the cylinder. I was considering a delrin spacer between the mod and shroud..

Yeah, interesting 🤔

Gabe

Thank you, Gabe. I communicated with Best Fittings and was told that they began to fit a spacer with the valve to increase the thickness of the valve because some customers reported a problem about clearance on some of the guns. That's why your valve is thicker than what shown in the picture on their website. They also mentioned that the spacer can be removed if you have a proper tool (however, I don't know if that will affect its function/performance or not.)
