FX Dreamline

What a fantastic platform. Definitely underrated, and dare I say it was an unsung game-changer for the airgun market. Neither my Mrod or Dreamline are in .177, but I would say the Dreamline is slightly louder without a mod in .22/25. You won't regret getting a smallish mod for it. Something like a Tatsu, Belita, 110C, or similar. Money well spent to make it nice and quiet. It should come with a fill probe if buying it new.

Good to hear. Any issues with POI shifts or any other issues? Do you perhaps use a single shot tray in it? From pics it looks as though it should be super single-shot friendly with that relief on the right just behind the loading slot, much more so than Air Arms etc. but would like to know from others?

No issues with POI shifts on this one, but I can't say the same for my other FX guns, so YMMV. I don't use single shot trays at all. Good luck if you go this route. I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

I am assuming you are talking about the Dreamline Classic, I have one and love it. I have both .25 cal and .22 cal barrels for it, both are 600mm in length. I have a power tune on mine, so it can be quite loud in either caliber. I also Have a Crown with a 600mm .177 barrel and it is much quieter than the Dreamline. It's not making as much power because it's the stock set-up wit no mods. I do recomment you look at the Huma-Air Moderators, I have a MOD30 Compact on my Crown and a MOD40 Compact on the Dreamline. Even though the MOD30 is a smaller diameter, it is much quieter shoting .177, 10.3 grain pellets at 915 FPS than the MOD40 shooting .25 25.39 grain .25 pellets at 900 FPS from the Dreamline.

I will say I like the action on the Dreamline much more than that of the Crown, it's much lighter and smoother. I also have a Dream-Tac Compact, and have the 320mm .177; 320mm .22 and 500mm .22 barrels for it. It's super compact and lightweight with the shorter barrels and has the same fantastic action as the Dreamline Classic. For the Dreamline series being the bottom of the line offering from FX, I feel it's the best bang for the buck!

Streamline and Dreamline use the same shroud and same compensator.
One could use a longer shroud and the 380 mm barrel to set it up like the Evanix Guns do.
Would just have to have a support on the barrel made that fits inside the shroud like Evanix does.
I don't have a shroud on my 700 mm barrel.

I think the outside diameter is 20 mm? I'd have to dig mine out to measure it.

I'd love a dreamline classic in 22, but with a 380mm barrel so I can add an air stripper and baffles. Keep it short and quiet.

What's the shroud diameter on these guns?
Outside diameter on mine is 19.85mm. The .22 comes with the 500mm barrel which ends just about at the end of the air cylinder. I'm not sure about now, because I understand they are coming with the Plenum, but when I bought mine, the .25 had a larger [longer] air cylinder which is why it came with the 600mm barrel.
