FX Dreamline

I like the fact that the dreamline variation of a wildcat doesn't have the cheek piece in the way of the magazine. This way we would be able to use either a 16-18 shot magazine on a dreamline-wildcat.

About the cost of magazines. You guys aren't looking at the cost correctly. I've seen guys say other companies give you a magazine for only $35. Well that magazine is only 8-10 shots. FX gives you an 18 shot magazine for $70. Technically FX would be the better value. As far as magazine cost, you need to divide it by the shot count and get a cost per shot count. You'll find that FX is MOST of the time right in line with everyone else.

Is that is an example of that "new math" they've been teaching in school.
Profit written all over that..
but truthfully, tooling cost a lot and R&D also.. plus VAT / Sweden is a socialist country.
I lived there (Almhult) for 6 months years ago. .. I had a great time and absolutely love the Swedish people.. The most trustworthy, genuinely kind, honest people I've ever met.. great people!! Excellent engineers and forward thinking..FX is an example of great engineering and wonderful world class products..

My PCP's are unregulated.. i've read some posts about FX's regulators not being consistent on first shot.(s). All the rage seems to about Huma.. Surely FX will address this with a new range.
300 bar? Wow. I use a SCUBA tank now and the dive shop fills it to ~3200 psi. And all my PCP'S only go to 200 bar .So, if I do get a "DL" i'll have to figure something out.

I was thinking of getting a streamline. They're saying that this will replace the streamline, coming in at the same price including the adjustable reg and HST. I haven't read anything about whether the $1000 USD is for just the action or whether it includes a basic stock. If not, you can add another $300-$1000 for a stock. If they are going to flog this for a grand including a streamline or bullpup frame, they are going to piss off a lot of existing Crown, Wild Cat, and probably Impact owners. Only time and knowing FX, probably a long time, will tell. I won't be buying that streamline just yet.

The video / interview with the guy in North Carolina / new warehouse / importer / service center. etc.. . said it would be sub $1K for the basic model. My guess is that it would be for .177 or .22 with composite stock.. Then it would go up from there.. which seems right..
FX's high end PCP's / Impact, Crown etc are just too much $$$ for many folks.. Including myself...
I was going to buy a Streamline also.. if they drop the price by $200 or so I will buy the SL and let the dust settle and get the bugs worked out of the DL... Then buy a DL.

Hi MarkT

Interesting diversity of opinions here. What the forum is all about.
Your comment about MB quality in 2002 was , maybe , partly accurate, your opinion that is. However if you follow MB products you will know that about 2008 period they ,MB, revisited their outlook and since then have returned to quality production of cars. I submit you are out of date with thst comment.
Back to FX releasing info about future nodels creates customer wish lists. Many companies do this but just bear in mind that hard testing R and D companies do not control sales/marketing . Sometimes bean counters also get in the way. Agree though with most opinions to wait for a fully or more fully developed product.
Question is though where is the cut off for a product being Fit for Purpose or not Fit for Purpose? Failure to Perform . There is quite a difference between a customers expectations and manufacturers products, sometimes.

Wolfe, thanks for your reply and information. I spent 18 years working a German company..- you mentioned bean counters, Full know all about that. They took a extremely profitable company, ran their math and allowed a Japanese company to kick their a$$$. I now have been with a French company. for 8 years. And I'm certain you would know this company if I were to reveal the name..
you may be right about MB... They blew it with me.. So I will never buy any of their products.. My use and life style has changed and I don't have a need for a fine Euro luxury car.. I drive a Yukon XL and good ole chev work truck with a 8' bed ( "that never has to be made")
not sure who does FX marketing.. But they do a great job, IMO.. Lots of guys on here use their products with excellent results.
With regards to the DL.. I'm in the market for a 177 only to shoot and kill sparrows that get in my sunflowers in the summer.. The SL will be perfect.. but " purpose" your words, the DL looks fantastic.. someone said "patience is a virtue." ( I thank Chuck for his words!!)
