Thinking of buying a drs. Huma and krale cant send to norway, and the only shop that sells here dont have the 700mm options. I would mostly have it in .25 but they are out of stock so .177 is my only option in 600mm.

Is it much work to buy a .25 kit later and put on?

I want to upgrade to the SHP plenum either way.

But what speeds can I reach in .177 ?
I thinking of shooting 13gr slugs (most likely need to change to heavy liner, is it difficult in this gun?)
Or is this mainly a pellet rifle?

You for sure will want a heavy barrel if you want to shoot slugs, those come standard in the 700 mm versions, shorter and it is a additional cost.
This far in .177 the regular and heavy barrel are the same twist rate on the rifling, but the barrels are different but sadly it is not due to the pitch of rifling, i have shot a lot of pellets in my Heavy liner too, work just fine i think.
Regarding speed i am sure the DRS can push any .177 slug you want to super sonic speeds ( too fast ), i have done that on my other rifles just fine.
Not familiar with the DRS, which are different from more conventional rifles i have, but i do not think it take a rocket designer degree to change caliber on it.

13 grain slugs might be fine in the standart liner, at least on my Maverick with a 700 mm barrel of each type, with 13 grain Zan slugs the difference in performance was minute, so in that sense you might not absolutely must have a heavy liner.

in .177 at least i am not sure you "must have " the SHP plenum to get up to the correct speeds, if the 600 mm come with the smaller plenum i would for sure test with that first, but of course if you plan to upgrade to .25 it will be nice.

Not sure if the DRS is the kind of rifle you will want to swap caliber on often with the air tank over barrel design, but i could be wrong i have no personal experience on these.

I suppose it will, not least if your shots only sip a little part of what is in the plenum.

Shooting .177 and if we talk pellets 10.XX grain, well i shoot them with as little pressure as my regulator will give me, so 50 - 60 BAR, and with a 700 mm barrel rifle ( epic airguns two ) geared for much larger calibers, what is in the large plenum i suppose could be considered fully workable air pressure adding up to more shots.

Dont have any resteictions except getting an approval from police to show the shop when buying. But krale and huma dont have any kits in their shop like they have for other fx models
Probably best to wait and order what you want instead of spending more money trying to convert it. There is also the risk of damaging a sealing surface or something if you were to take it apart. Obviously FX is not going to warranty in that case.

Instead of starting a new thread for the 177 DRS owners, maybe we can make this sn info thread. Lots of info on 22 caliber in the main thread but little in 177

I got my drs Saturday, 600mm classic. Came from Utah Air with the inspection sticker saying 10.3 gr at 900fps. Been too cold here to do any real testing, but 10gr h&n slugs were grouping 6 to 8 inch at 30 yards. Switched to 10.65 gr baracudas and grouping about 2 to 3 inches at 30 yards. This was all from standing, so I am happy until I put it to paper and do some tuning
