FX FX DRS .22 600 mm super high power plenum is in the way to it's new home.

I decided to trade a 35 fpe .22 Cal and a .357 Cal to buy a powerful .22 (60-65 fpe).

After A LOT of analysis, I decided for the DRS in 600 mm and with the super powerful plenum and high picatinny rail.

This rifle should give the alternative of shooting accurately slugs at different levels of power.

Length of 41', not so long...... Super light weight.

Only time will tell if this was or was not a good decision....

It will take some time for me to receive it.

Once I have it in hand and after shooting with it, I will share my experience.

I have that set up myself. I increased the plentum preasure to 145 bar and installed a 13 gram hammer. I wanted to shoot heavy pellets and play with light 22 - 25 grain slugs. I had best results with the JSB 28 grn. monster Grands at 965 fps. Pushing them any faster just waisted air and the gun had too much recoil when shooting offhand effecting accuracy. I tried 15 grn hades at this tune and it cracked like a rimfire. im only getting 15 shots on a full 230 bar fill but that’s OK for a squirrel hunt. my first PCP was a .25 Condor and I liked how the 25 grn. Pellets smacked squirrels and ground hogs but here in PA you can’t use a .25 on squirrels , only .177 and .22. So now with this DRS I have the same FPE as the .25’s and can tune it down to shoot hades still around 910 FPS extremely accurate and double the shot count. Predator pellets were also extremely accurate at 900 fps+. I have stayed with the Pellets as I don’t see a need to shoot slugs for the intended use of this rifle. But if FX ever gets the Halos Slugs out I’m going to try them.

I had good results with the H&N 27gr Hollow point slugs Around 960fps from my M3 Impact.

I failed to mention that I plugged the two holes in the large plentum with wood dowels. I still got the results as mentioned above. I haven’t tested the rifle without the plugs or just one plug. I am happy with the performance as it is set up now Using 28 grn. heavy pellets getting 58 fpe.

Well I just recieved the DRS.

First impressions: light weight, accurate (very accurate with JSB 25.4 grain pellets), powerfull (50 fpe) not many shots

per fill (30) and loud ( not to get sued by neighbours). Good ergonomics with the high picattini rail accesory.

I just made some shooting at 190 yards to stones on the ground. Not professional shooting with bench and bipod.

The rifle is accurate at that distance with slugs.

If you do not mind to have only 30 shots per fill, this rifle is the best buy for the money in terms of power and accuracy.

A Vulcan 3 is 500 usd above.
