fx drs issues

I am considering the purchase of an fx drs 25cal , I have seen and heard that there is an issue or issues with this particular gun but can't seem to find what specificaly they might be .If any of you have any insight on the subject I would be grateful to hear what you might have to say , thanks in advance

I have 2 DRS rifles, a 22 700 Classic and a 25 700 Pro.

I have not had any issues with either rifle .

Bought my .22/600 mm DRS as a light weight, easy to carry squirrel stalking rifle and have been very happy with it.

I intended the DRS for short range work but have been pleasantly surprised that it's capable for longer ranges as well. Head-shots at 40 yards are easy! I'll be testing the maximum effective range (for me that's 10 shots in one inch - consistently) when the weather warms up.

I'm getting about 33 shots per fill (plenty for hunting). That's typical for a 30 fpe, .22 caliber PCP at 230 bar fill and that size of reservoir.

Don't know about a .25 caliber from personal experience, but the DRS is based on the same value system as the Panthera and the King so with the appropriate plenum it will have plenty of power.

Cheers!

There have been some reported issues here in the big DRS thread. Mainly the early units and I dont think you would see any of that if you bought a DRS today and got a current production run.

The early rifles were shipped with crudely finished brass fill probes that had sharp edges and some failures popping the probe out under pressure. The new rifles come with a better steel fill probe from what I have seen.

The white face gauges initially used were cheap low quality, seemed inaccurate and had metric threads. Now the rifles are shipped with the standard black face FX gauges with normal threads and better accuracy.

And @Vetmx had a broken trigger when he first got his, but he replaced it. Overall not too many problems, and I dont think those have come up since the first batch run almost a year ago.

I have have the drs 700 .25 and I didn’t have any problems with that . Out of the box easy 100 meters without any tinkering with it

The metric threads on my gauge told me something that I just couldn’t shake. Sold it. Don’t miss it.
