N/A FX DRS Magazines

Bought a DRS and got the chance to put a few pellets through it this afternoon...I have a question,

Are all the magazines that freaking hard to insert, and get back out? I know it has those orings in the cover, but I tried to install it without the cover and it was still near impossible. Once it was seated it feed the pellets fine, but man, there has to be something wrong. If not, there has to be a better way, right?

I ordered some Maple Custom mags for extras before running into this issue. I hope those work better.

The FX DRS magazines are terrible.
I use Orion The Iguana Hunter Magazines they work flawlessly every time.

I agree the OEM magazine is dang difficult to load!

I‘ve heard good things about Orion & Eagle vision mags, though I’ve never tried them. I’ve always trusted Stud Loader mags for their quality (carbon fiber infused material, magnetic lids, swiss ball bearings), precision, ease of use, and their pellet shaker & speed loaders that let me focus on shooting rather than loading.

Their DRS prototype should arrive today and if everything checks out the complete loading systems should be available in a few weeks.

Here’s a video of me loading a bunch of magazines real quick.

I have (3) .22 DRS magazines from Steamone13 from eBay. They are far easier and quicker to load than any of the FX magazines what I have encountered.

On my Maverick i have found that if i just install the barrel as far back as it will go, well no inserting a magazine then.
So i now put the magazine in and then install the barrel as far back as it can go in relation to that, this is of course just a few 1:10 of a mm we are talking about.

We also learned my big 21 shot ( .177 ) Maverick magazine it do NOT fit in my friends DRS, its far too loose in there, but funny enough the Carm single shot tray work just fine.
