FX FX DRS PRO 22 CALIBER SLUG RECOMMENDATIONS

I’m going to be ordering a FX DRS PRO in 22 caliber I want to get it with an assortment of slugs to experiment with. I would appreciate it if any one has had any experience with slugs in this rifle if you could recommend some that I should try if your using pellets info on that could be interesting also. I remember in watching Matt’s videos on this rifle he was using patriot slugs at 36 grains that weren’t hollow point I don’t see them on any site I imagine they gave him ammo to try that wasn’t in production. From what I read the magazine on this rifle doesn’t easily accept slugs that are larger than 37.5 grains I’m not sure if there are other aftermarket magazines that allow acceptance of larger slugs.

I’m getting I little old for competition but I still love to go to my range which is up to 200 yards and compete with a friends,

I shoot the. 218 H&N 34gr Heavy slugs and the. 218 34gr Javelin slugs at 970fps from my DRS Classic 22 700.
They are both extremely accurate.

I just ordered a couple of Big air mags to try in my new rifle hopefully it can handle the heavier slugs that the factory mags have difficulty with. Appreciate the info

Big Air Precision makes slug specific mags for the Drs. I am running his mags in my Bullshark and 100% recommend them. Message @Tango Sierra if you have questions on compatible slug lengths.

UA told me .217 slugs, but i get much better groups from .218 slugs. I have tried H&N 27gr and some AVS 26 and 27gr all in .218, and getting 3/4" at 55 yards as a start. The .217 slugs all had wild fliers...
I am planning to take the stock off, and turn the reg up from 145bar to 165bar, and see how fast i can get the 31.5 NSA and 33gr H&N precision slugs to go. Stupid delta force stock doesn't have access to the reg screw externally, and it collides with the plenum manometer when its installed. Rather a pain to tune!
