It's the plenum
I don't get the lean away from an air rifle form factor. Maybe to attract firearms- owners to the world of air rifles? I think anyone who's shooting 6.5s or 8.6s would just think this is a woefully under powered gun. I'd far prefer a bottle on it, or a stupid large plenum.

We are all different. I have held off for about 3 years to buy a gun, until I found something I liked WITHOUT a bottle on it. DRS is perfect for me.

There are popular shooting comps called PRS and NRL, divisions of centerfire, rimfire and also air rifle. The Pro MDT has the "form factor" that emulates the superior balancing and handling attributes of the best precision centerfire and rimfire rifles meant to excel in these games.
