FX FX DRS Tactical, just awesome 👌

Picked up my DRS Tactical from my good friends at Utah Airguns today. Installed grey Hogue grip, stock, with a folding hinge, and a plenum/regulator gauge. Straight forward easy install of everything. You will need a douty seal for the regulator guage as it seals against the plenum surface. The rail is easy to remove if you need to access the regulator and hammer spring.

Shooting 18gr jsb pellets around 885fps.

Okay a report on the dreaded FX slow first shot (valve stiction) . I'm happy to report after sitting for a 12hr period the first shot was only 8fps slower than the subsequent shots. Both my King and Impact M3 were nearly 20fps slower on the first shot. Looks like the DRS valve system is a winner.

Nice :) what folding adapter do you have on there? Kind of tempted to get one because it’s so light, really not a fan of the plenum and bad black rifle look on general… may go for a .22 anyway as a hunter (600mm though for shot count and reaching speed easier/with smooth like butter cycle)…
.22/600mm DRS Classic is what I bought for squirrel hunting. Very pleased with it!

Sounds good! I usually use a Dreamline .22 or .25 (both classics as well) if I a to let hunt and them and walk the woods. Got a Wildcat compact recently which is stupid accurate with hades and 18gr AEA, might be my new go to but it’s just too beautiful to be carried around in the woods with the laminate stock. Hence the idea of the drst.

If squirrels (or pests) cross the neutral zone in my backyard I’ll usually use whatever is on the bench in that moment though.

Does it come without a butt stock, so you need to purchase in addition to the rifle?
It does come with a grip, buffer tube and telescopic stock. FX's website says those parts are options, but that must not be applicable to the USA market. I did go for the Hogue hardware as it looks much better.

I got a dream tac folding hinge; thought any AR folding buffer tube hinge will work.
