FX DRS

I gave my first air gun and am interested in learning
I am utilizing .25 cal DRS with good results
what is the largest game I should hunt with this?
Depends on how good of a shot you are and if you can hold on a shot and wait if its not the perfect shot. If you want body shots then I would say rock chuck / coon sized animals for a sure kill out to 50 yds. I am pretty sure a .25 to a coyotes lungs would kill it at 50 yds but its gonna run a good distance as it bleeds out. I dont take heart/lung shots on anything I absolutely dont have to. I shot a coon to the heart/lungs with my .30 once but I didnt have any other shot as he was trying to get down and out of the tree. He ran about 30 yds as he was bleeding out. Clean kill but easier to lose the body if you care about that. A .25 shooting 60 fpe @ the muzzle has enough power to cleanly take a coyote at 100 yds with a head shot. The problem is getting a clean head shot on a coyote at that distance. I have killed many gophers out to 35 yds with my .177 tuned to 10.5 fpe. 90% of those shots still completely passed thru the gophers head and all were dead at impact. The .25 with pellets takes out gophers easy @ 100 yds with head shots if you are good at wind calls or in calm conditions.

Where at in MT are you? I live in the Bitterroot valley.

I'm looking at one in 22 for squirrel hunting and pesting at night. I want to shoot hades pellets out of it. How much of a pain in the arse are they to tune
The DRS has a hammer preload adjuster and adjustable amp regulator. You have to remove the stock to access them but thats not a big deal. Should be pretty easy to tune.

I love my DRS. I haven't shot a Panthera, but I have held one at my local shop. It is SUPER comfortable to shoulder. It just felt so right.

Do you find the stock comb high enough. Reason is I'm putting my pard nightstalker on it when it comes in and am going to add the pic rail to it to mount it.

To be honest. I am a newbie to shooting and air guns. It seems ok to me, but then again... I don't know what the bleep I am doing. I will let the more experienced DRS owners answer that question. Sorry I can't help.

Where at in MT are you? I live in the Bitterroot valley. I’ve killed over 200 gophers usually 60 to 75 yards my longest has been 163 Yards This is my first air gun. I’m 77 and my real rifles are a bit heavy for me . I’ve been very impressed at how flat it shoots and quiet it is. My first suppressor too

Good shooting. I have been shooting PCP rifles for about 8 years now. Lots of fun and great for pest removal. So we are about 3 hours apart which isnt far by MT standards :ROFLMAO:
