FX Factory Faux Pas

I ordered aa .30 Cal 600mm barrel kit for my new M4. It arrived on Friday and I tested it out yesterday. I was shocked when I couldn't even hit a 12 x 18 target at 35 yards! When I went to clean the barrel, thinking maybe that was the issue, I had a hard time getting the patch worm to feed through the barrel when inserted from the breach end. I removed the moderator adapter and this is what fell out of the end of the barrel.

I cleaned the barrel and put the adapter back on and went to shoot it at 10 yards. This is the shot pattern I was getting.

I was shooting the 44 grain JSB Hades pellets and noticed what appeared to be fragments of pellets hitting the target. I then removed the adapter again and this is what fell out of the end of the barrel.

I called the Vendor I purchased it from and after discussing various possibilities, he had me remove the adapter and shoot it again, it stacked pellets at 10 yards. So we measured the ID of the adapter and it was only 6.2mm! Seems FX made a major Faux Pas during assembly and put the wrong adapter on this barrel and it was literally shredding the pellets! A .25 cal pellet is 6.35 in diameter and a .30 cal pellet is 7.35mm, so I can only assume this adapter was probably meant to go on a .22 caliber barrel. In any event, the Vendor is contacting FX and sending me the correct adapter. The Vendor said they don't typically open and inspect barrel kits before shipping them to customers. He said this was the first time he had ever encountered this and was really surprised. So, just an FYI, if you get an FX Barrel that's shooting a shotgun pattern at 10 yards, check to ensure the correct adapter was installed at the factory!

I think you mentioned the pellet shop was your purchase of your new m4..pretty awesome they helped out with this ..thumbs up!

I am not a fan of FX ! That said , any business has goof up's like this . Might be the old " first thing Monday AM or last thing Friday afternoon "
Very possible, hard to tell because I don't think there is any time stamp on the barrel kit to show when it was assembled. I agree, stuff happens, what's important is how well the customer is taken care of when it does happen! And, thus far I am happy with how The Pellet Shop is handling it.

It's going to be fixed, so all will be good, but I wanted to share incase anyone else has the same happen to them, it might save them some head scratching!

Hello my friend.
How are you?

My name is Joselito, I'm Brazilian and I need help to clarify a doubt.

I have an FX IMPACT M3 in .22 caliber and I recently bought a Liner Heavy and received it in the 1.18 version in the 700mm size. I haven't seen any information about it or about the difference between the 1.18 and the 1.16 on any website or forum.

I noticed that the shock of the 1/18 is much greater than that of the 1/16, because the velocity decreases a lot with the 1/18.

Could you explain to me what the technical difference is between the Liner 1/18 and the 1/16?

Thank you
