I’m thinking about deleting my first reg by turning it up as far as it will go can someone tell me if this will stop the first 3 shots being low in fps.

Bypassing the first reg (turning it up as far as it will go) has the potential to make the problem worse or roughly the same, but not better.

It's NOT just the regulator causing you slow shots, its balanced valve o-ring break-out friction aka stiction, which is possibly compounded by regulator creep, the former is much more prevalent in cold shot issues ime, as reg creep is much easier to tune around provided its not outside nominal (5%).

No as that issue has nothing to do with a regulator. Impact has a long valve rod the hammer has to move. As the gun sits the orings on it tend to stick to the metal surface causing a light valve open and low velocity. If you search this issue on here there are threads about fixing the issue.

What kind of failure of the regulator can occur if the pressure is exceeded? I wouldn't delete it, but I would set it to around 170-180 bar (I mean the first reg) It's a bit absurd that fx recommendation not to exceed 170 bar while they widely promote slugs and accessories for them such as slug power kit, tungsten hammer. ...
