I got my barrel tuner in today and guess what it doesn't fit the compact. It's too long

That sux it looks like somebody put a longer shroud on it than what was needed. Lots of screw ups and defects lately. Time for a return and another wait of an undermined number of weeks/months.

that sucks. Where did you get it from? I hope you can get it replaced to what you need. I'm looking for a .177, 600mm tuner.

I don't think the compat needs the barrel tuner, if the barrel is so short, maybe this is for 700mm barrels

I've installed it on my 700mm barrel and it is too short. It looks like it would be a perfect fit on a 600mm barrel.
