Can the FX Impact M3 in .25 with a heavy superior liner, shoot .251 diameter slugs? or only .250?
what do you mean slug my barrel?More than likely yes but would be wise to slug your barrel and measure to see what size it actually is
It can't shoot .253 or .254 the diameter is too largeIt can shoot any slug from a .249 to a .254. Shooting them accurately will be up to you, the liner, the slug manufacturer and testing.
I've tried to shoot the 33.6 .254 NSA slugs, and they jam, when I go to load them into the chamber, same goes for .253 Zans. I haven't tried .252 or .251, but I'll give them a ahotHow do you know? Did you try them? I have and the liner will shoot them. Not saying that’s what you will wind up finding the best accuracy with but it will shoot them. When I was still playing the liner game before just machining a real barrel for my gun I mainly shot two slugs. One of them was bigger than .251, I promise you.
Pin probe would make a difference with tighter fitting slug the factory probe might not be as small but would keep a slug straighter when or if they go harderLike I said, it depends on the manufacturer. I never tried a NSA .254. You are definitely safe in the 249-251 area though. Zan .253’s chamber fine in a standard superior liner using factory style probe. No pin probes here.
