Tuning FX Impact barrel stiffener, by FX

I was just watching the latest Matt Dubber video and he mentioned that FX will be offering a barrel stiffener made by Hein Froman. He picked up his 700mm barreled MKII by the barrel with this new add on installed. I took a screen shot from the video. He didn't mention when it would be available to purchase.

Why in the hell would you ever need to handle a gun like that if mine doesn't shift point of impact with a sleeve and tensioned I mean get ruff with stuff and I can see walking threw the woods something could hit the barrel but I'm usually pretty careful when I got a good amount of money tied up in something like a pellet gun or even a nice PB correct me if I'm wrong but jeez

It's to demonstrate the feature.

Ok I understand that it was for demonstration but won't it change harmonics if you're getting good groups with out it I'd be interested in seeing some accuracy tests. If it fits MK2 I might try it also. My point was when I got slot of money in to something I'm more careful with it but yes I'd be willing to give it a try given it doesn't cost a arm and leg

Is the aluminum block to go against the gun, lock with set screws, then add the carbon sleeve of the barrel , tensioned by the moderator? Does this then take the tension pressure off the only set screw that holds the barrel in place back by the magazine? And also remove the tension pressure against the front on the gun? I believe that piece is only support by a couple mounting screws.

If so , this would stiffen the barrel , but still have movement right where barrel enters the gun and supported by an O-rings.

Does anyone know any more about this and how it works?

They have been talking about this tensioning system for the better part of a year now.

from what I could gather. The design replaces the small barrel block with a redesigned block that clamps the barrel.
this allow tension on barrel between the trigger assembly and the muzzle.

I’m not a fan of tensioned barrels. From my experience, they never stop moving with temp changes
