Tuning FX Impact Bridged Transfer Port eating slugs

Why do my slugs keep getting eaten by my transfer port. I bought the gun this way. Is the transfer port wrong for .22? Too big? I’ve never owned an Impact before. It’s really frustrating me. The guide seems to be a bit wore out. Maybe that’s causing my problems. I’m shooting NSA 23gr is that matters. Every time it happens, I need to pull the barrel and shake out the slug. Sometimes it gets stuck in the transfer port and I can hardly get the barrel off to remove the damaged slug. I need some advice.

That happened to me a couple times on my MK2 Impact 22/700 after I installed the slug power kit with that pin probe. That was with the stock single hole transfer port and FX hybrid slugs. The power kit didn't get me the speeds I was looking for so I went for the Huma dual hole transfer port, which I believe is what you have there. Because of the jamming I also used the Huma high flow probe that came with the port. World of difference. Apparently, the stock single hole transfer port was the restriction keeping the speed down. The Huma probe never jammed.

NOW, that said, I've recently gone back to using the pin probe for the extra 15-20 fps it gets. So far I haven't had any jams using Hybrids or JSB Knockouts. Perhaps you're closing the lever too slowly giving the slug time to tip down into the port. Just a thought. At any rate swapping out that pin probe for a standard one should cure the problem.

Its not the impact. Its the pin you are using. I have a .25 cal and using 33gr nsa slug and it also get stuck. Can't close the lever. And cant get the barrel off cause when pull the barrel out it would get stuck by the slug in the transfer port hole. You need to shorten the pin just enough that you can slide the mag in. If you don't get it just right, the mag won't fit in, or the level won't close. Very annoying. Whats more annoying is these South Africa guys fx boys giving way too much props for this slug power kit that made everyone jump into it. They claim it can adjust the depth seating of the slug or pellet. Hell to the NO. You do that and you will have problems. The stick pellet prob, I never have a problem. Don't fall for these fx fan boys, they are marketing fx products. Smh

So, I think it was a combination of problems. First off, I don’t think I had the adjustable pin probe in far enough. Second off, I think I was short cycling the lever. I’ve Shot a few magazines through so far so good. Hopefully that was the last of the jamming problems. Thank you all for your suggestions and help, much appreciated.
