Fx impact coyote hunting

I plugged some with my one M3 shooting 32gr slugs around 1,040fps. But because of how I hunt them, I switched to a .30 in a completely different gun. Noticeable difference. I prefer every coyote that enters my scope is a dead coyote. The .25 would kill them with a boiler room shot but I lived in fear of the shoulder blade. Now a 60+ grain .30 just delivers more smashing power.

.22 monster hades 50 yards around 970ish and under will do just fine in the head. But as vetmx said .30 something in 60+ grain will be the best option for a in the shoulder shot. Keep in mind you’re not causing a lot of shock on impact like a powder burner. A punch behind the shoulder is likely a dead coyote but he is going to run and likely go pretty far. No matter the caliber…Recovery will be hard if not impossible. My best advice try for the head on all shots at least the neck if head is not possible.
