Watching that video, I noticed he degassed the regulator by dry firing the gun. Is it ok to do it that way? Just curious, I want to put on a new gauge and not touch my regulator setting.

yes mike4496 you can do it like that, remove bottle and dry fire the rifle to empty the regulator plenum, remove gauge and put the new in place

IME Generally is ok, BUT doing that you can UNSEAT the ValveSeat...if you have the latest Mk2, no problem (machined so impossible to unseat) and generally you will not unseat the VS, but if you do ...will be a pain (disassemble and assemble again)

Edosan, Heavy, Mag ,thanks much for info, greatly appreciated. I do have the Mk2, going to put on the EDMU's. I think I will just twist off the analog gauge slowly to drain. Thanks again.

Must be the latest mk2, I do have an Early Mk2 and does not have the VS integrated.

I do too add the EDMU in my impacts ...like it !

Yeap this happened to me once with my second Impact and I had to take it back to the dealer because I didn’t have a clue by then on what was going on. No power at all... it was very frustrating

Eduardo, I’ve contacted Michal to order one and give it a try along with your valve kit. It should be just fine I presume but I will have to test it. I will provide some feedback. Michal has told me that he’s overwhelmed by the orders and he won’t be able to send me one till the end of September. So I’ll just have to be patient I presume.

Hand tight is usually enough to seal the gauges. over tightening can damage the rear block. The board can be lifted out and rotated to align the gauge.

One question,

When I dry fire my Impact ... it doesnt blead out without bottle

Does someone else has the same or what can be the reason.

Im asking this since 100times screw and unscrew manometer can damage the thread inside the block what did happened to my friend mostly much more hatder to unscrew under hi presures of reg 160-170bar.

In normal usage this is hardly to happened but if you do a lot of testing and tuning and on end on it will happened at the end .

You have to turn up the regulator after unscrewing the bottle then it will bleed out.

@kikopower that is why is not good to dry fire (without the bottle) ;) you learn the hard way! jaja (and BTW is mentioned in ER videos!)

regarding the plenum, looks good, and will help a lot. The Ernest Rowe one IMO is a bit more efficient since the air goes to 1 90 degree angle instead of 2.

@PaniSd The correct way to remove the air from the reg is to turn the reg pressure up with a 2.5mm allen, without the bottle. is just a small turn.

Yep, done that and no efect ... strange.

I notice this since I instaled Huma reg that is working perfectly.

This can happen. What's your reg set at? i screwed up and left my reg at like 200bar when I had bled it after I gouged my bottle. I didn't turn it back down, when I repressurized my velocity was in the 600's (did t have a hammer weight at that time), and it wouldn't bleed with the reg adjustment screw. I wound up having to shoot it 4-5 times to bleed!

No meter what pressure I put ... now its on 125.

With fx reg did work but with huma ... no?

Don't you have that backwards?

Nop (unless I am missing something), the original ValveTube / Plenum, is parallel to the barrel with the air travelling to the oposite side of the barrel, so makes two 90 degree turns to reach the barrel (180 degree in total), same as Michal integrated plenum. (Impact it is designed like that, otherwise will be a long barrel airgun like the Dreamline specially with the 700mm)

ER plenum is attached directed in the block facing up, so it makes only one 90 degree turn to reach the barrel. (No exactly under the TP on the block, but close, enlarging to m14 or M16 helps a lot)

The external still makes a 90 into the valve so that's 3 for external and 2 for original location.

Yeah I feel that less turns and one source for the plenum air would be more efficient and higher flow than two sources converging making turbulence w eachother. Also I like the plenum looking like original just larger. IMHO Id use either one to get job done but aestheticly the larger original location would be my pick. Just my 2¢.
