FX Impact fixed shroud disassembly ?

Anyone know if the front is threaded or glued in ?

The shroud off the gun or remove the end parts from the carbon tube?
The front metal section of the shroud is screwed onto the barrel liner 'keeper'. Sometimes over tight and may have a touch of locktight. Use a soldering iron or small torch to heat the inside threads and twist, unscrew the shroud. Don't over do the heat.
If the barrel is tensioned you may need to use a strap wrench. Which BTW may work without heat.

Hi Rc4fun thanks for replying so fast! I I have an fx impact extended 800 mm and I want to swap the liner to a superior heavy liner. I am trying to get the shroud off the barrel. I have no carbon. It is the factory barrel and shroud still. The barrel glides out the shroud quite a bit but at the end it gets stuck. Very stuck. I already tried quite a bit of force, turning adding a bit of heat but still very stuck. Gun is very new. Best to try to get the side on the picture (backside shroud)off or the front of the shroud where the moderator is cscrewed on?
