Tuning FX Impact Gen 3 sleve tensioner challenge

I went to swap my Superior liner with a heavy liner. Instead of the barrel shroud unscrewi•ng from the sleve tensioner, the tensioner stayed connected to the shroud and the sleve came out alone. I assume I now need to use a heat gun to heat up where the moderator connects and remove that endcap to get to the liner tensioner that is still connected to iit.



Any other (better) ideas on how to get the piece that connects the liner to the barrel shoud oput??

A wooden dowel rod slightly larger diameter than the tension nut sharpened to a point. Put it in the shroud pretending it’s your barrel. Tap the dowel rod with a hammer to wedge it into the nut then just unscrew it.

Also you can put loctite on the barrel sleeve then reassemble. Let it setup for a day and unscrew it and the liner lock should now end up where its supposed to be. I've done it once or twice, the key is to always have the liner lock to sleeve slightly tighter than the shroud to liner lock.
