FX Impact Hammer Spring

I thought you guys would be interested in see this. I installed a power plenum today and when I took out the original hammer spring I found this. The spring guide could not move. I don’t see any defect in the spring. I was running my reg at 150. It seemed to be performing fine. However I can’t seem to get any more power than I had with the original plenum. I have watched Ernest’s videos over and over.

Look by the fourth coil and you will see a curved piece of spring jammed between the spring and guide.

If what appears to be true, the broken piece came from the end and doesn't do much harm provided you remove the broken part. Spring rating will go up minimally.


I imagine the guide was catching as AirGunShooter mentioned, can make sure theres good clearance between spring and the guide to ensure it doesn't re-occur.

And you deleted that guide and installed the hammer weight instead?
