I am developing a tune for some newly aquired Zan 35s slugs.
My Impact has 700mm slug barrel with a inner CF sleave, and the outer CF Tensioning brace.
Once I get this tune completed I will update the thread.
Yesterday, was playing with the Power Wheel at 16, I was getting into the 980s and an occasional 1000FPS, The groups where decent but flyers…
On the micro I brought that in a bit and was getting 975 with 2FPS spread.. Took the Chrono off the barrel to check the groups. But my pellet range faces due west, and I was shooting right into the sun. With serious halos/vision issues in the scope. But I was able to shoot several dime size groups at 50… yeah baby… Due to the sun. Packed it up, and head to the house.
As I get home there is a big fat pigeon… at 45 yds away…
Wonder what a Zan 35 @ 975 does ????
Well I voted we find out…
Wow. When I shoot other slugs/pellets, you hear a loud thump on impact. Yeah with the ZAN you get a very very loud whack/nail gun type of sound… And it just about ripped that pigeon in half… LOL…
I think I found the new pellet for critters… Cant wait to see what it does to Coyote heads.
Again, I will update this later… But initial results, are exceeding my expectations.
